  • Product Introduction

    • Composition material: It is composed of epoxy resin, coal tar asphalt, anti rust pigments, additives, modified amines, etc. It is usually a two-component coating of A (epoxy) and B (curing agent).

    • Product features: Smooth, dense, hard coating, strong adhesion, excellent salt alkali resistance, seawater resistance, soil microbial corrosion resistance, and good resistance to plant root and stem penetration. Combined with fiberglass cloth, it can enhance the mechanical properties of the anti-corrosion layer. Room temperature coating, natural curing, easy to apply, can be manually or mechanically applied.

    • Performance parameters: The coating thickness is generally 0.5-1.0mm, with a salt spray resistance of over 1000h and a moisture and heat resistance of over 1000h. The service life of ordinary anti-corrosion is about 20 years, strengthened anti-corrosion is about 25 years, and specially strengthened anti-corrosion can reach nearly 40 years.

    • Scope of application: It is mainly used for anti-corrosion of the outer wall of buried or underwater steel oil, gas, water, and heating pipelines, as well as for anti-corrosion of various steel structures, docks, ships, water gates, gas storage tanks, equipment in refineries and chemical plants, and waterproofing and leakage prevention of concrete structures.

    • Anti corrosion principle: Epoxy resin provides high adhesion, mechanical strength, and chemical corrosion resistance, while coal tar endows the coating with excellent water resistance and resistance to microbial erosion. The combination of the two forms a dense and hard protective layer, isolating moisture, salt, and microorganisms to prevent steel pipe corrosion.

    • Construction points: Steel pipes need to be sandblasted to Sa2.5 level for rust removal, and the primer should be evenly applied without any omissions, and completed within 6 hours. Topcoat can be applied according to design requirements, and fiberglass cloth can be wrapped if necessary. During construction, the relative humidity should be below 75% to avoid working on rainy days.

    • Execution standard: SY/T0447-2014 "Technical Standard for Epoxy Coal Tar Anti corrosion Coating of Buried Steel Pipelines".
